Okay, okay, I give!!!!
Before I indulge anyone with a few of the "rainbow wedding" pics, I just had to show this photo. I used to work for the county where I lived and got to know numerous law enforcement officials. The gals at work wanted to give me a bridal shower, so their creative way to get me to the building was. . . They sent out a deputy with a warrant for me! It was so funny. The deputy was disappointed that he did not remember to turn on the sirens while putting me in the car. (If he had, my poor neighbors would have been aghast!)
Here I am as a handcuffed criminal. :-)
~the "official" wedding photo~
Three of my favorite pictures include this one of a
very bored little girl,
a very bored little boy, and
Troy hugging my grandmother.

~the Gals~
Les is gonna love me for this one! :-)
The "kiss" to which Becky referred.
Troy first kissed my hand, and there was an audible noise from the congregation because they thought that was "it." They were all very happy when he next kissed me on the lips. Another audible sigh followed the second kiss. :-)
Funny how your "taste" can change! Prior to my wedding I remember sitting at a friend's house and viewing her parents' wedding photos. That wedding used brown. I was laughing and telling the mom that it looked like she had a UPS wedding. Well, guess what? Fast forward the years, and if I were to be married this year - - I would have brown in my wedding. :-)

I used a green that made all of my bridesmaids look like peppers, so I won't laugh too hard at the rainbow. I didn't put large bows on the rear end of their dresses, though--someone did that to me once and I didn't appreciate it very much. :)

Seeing that pic of Troy hugging Granny brought tears to my eyes. I miss her so much, but we are the lucky ones who got to have her at our weddings! At least the pic of me wasn't like one that I have of me at your wedding. Scott took one of me crying hysterically and I was sooo red!
I thought the week of your honeymoon some of the rest of us were going to be handcuffed and hauled off!(For those who do not know me- there was NO illegal activity involved)

I have one of those "offical" wedding photos in my wallet! Kissing your hand was "cute" but I'm glad that wasn't "it!"

Martha,
I didn't imagine your wedding looking so... Easter morningish... At least ya'll were smilin', at mine, someone came down to the room where I was getting ready and asked me right before the wedding how to get Ron to smile for the pictures. He somehow got the notion that was too serious an occasion to smile, I guess. I tried to smile alot, because I have seen wedding pictures where it looked like people where in a funeral, so I cheesed it through about the whole thing. Sure can make your face sore.
I saw other people's pictures from around the time ya'll were married, and behold, HATS!
My anniversary is just two days away. Bought my husband some tool he needed... a driver/drill... one of those charge em' up and drill screws in the wall things. Had a guy who worked at the store help me... it is a Father's Day/ Anniversary combo gift. He really liked it! Finally, got the right thing!

Enjoyed seeing your pictures! I remember wanting a rainbow wedding when I was younger but when I actually got engaged I changed my mind. We went with navy and rose. All the bridesmaids wore navy and the flower girl wore rose. My girls carried fans - but we didn't have hats. I don't think you'll see either of those at weddings in this era! LOL

Enjoyed seeing the wedding pics! Help us, I'd have died if some deputy would have come and hand cuffed me and took me some where. Did you know it was a joke? I hope so.

Enjoyed your post today. Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog!

Love, Heather =)
