Life in the South - Part. . .1 1/2?
Our move to Greer three years ago was Part 1, and the move to VA will be Part 2, so that leaves us with a 2-3 week stay in Easley as Part 1 1/2. :-) Life has been a bit hectic as we (I) have been packing the house. I have the moving thing down to a science by now, but then - - - I have never liked that subject! I am starting to get very nostalgic and emotional as I say good bye to a nice little house that we have come to love. Thankfully I am not as bad as I used to be and do not plan to kiss the walls as I did as an 8 year old girl when we moved to SD. Nevertheless, the "goodbyes" have started with -
places we have come to love,
and people we have come to know. I get all teary eyed just thinking of all these "last time" visits we have with friends. . .
And for your viewing pleasure, I have included a pic of our temporary house which is such a blessing to have! It is furnished, so all of our belongings (minus clothing and dishes) can stay in boxes as we wait for our house in VA to get finished.
The one catch is that we will have no Internet. Sniff. Sniff! I am not sure how inclined I will be to try the whole library Internet thing. . . I may just have to bum some time at friends' computers if I think I am going batty from lack of blogs and FB. :-) So, dear people, don't have too much fun without me, and I will be faithful to post pics of our new life in VA as soon as we are a bit settled.

If you want free wi-fi, you can drive past our old house. The neighbors had unsecured wi-fi. (I can't remember how I know that). :)

Andrew,

Free wi-fi is only as good as the laptop/wi-fi card that will access it. Since we have neither...

Thank the Lord for cell phones!! At least you will be somewhat accessible. Bless you 10,000 times over, dear DIL - that husband of yours has been moving you all over the country through his career as a student. But just maybe there's a light at the end of the next tunnel. Hugs to all of you!

Hope the move goes well for ya'll! I've only just started packing & am already feeling unsettled & anxious to get moved. Hopefully the 1 1/2 part of the move will go by fast for you!

Ah ha! So finally the mystery is solved (for me). You're moving to VA? My family loves Tweetsie Railroad and I always regretted not being able to cooridnate a trip up there so I could see you.

My xIn-laws are in Richmond so Clay and I go up at least once a month.

So, what's basically happening right now is you're living in a half-way house? *giggles* I always knew it would happen at some point.

*grin*
