The wish for "my" trees.
I love the view from my dining room table! No, it's not in the mountains or out in the country, but I have a lovely view of "my" trees. Their foliage makes my heart happy each time I gaze at them. They are spectacular in the full green of summer. . .
or ablaze with fall colors - my favorite! They are a magnet to me during that season as I find myself constantly wandering to the glass doors to get a good view. I have had one little wish though. . .to see them sprinkled with snow.
And it came true!!!!!!! You have no idea what peace this brought to the heart of a snow loving gal! My trees looked amazing as the snowflakes covered their sad and bare winter branches. I think the trees themselves must have been proud of their new fashion. :-)

Imagine my surprise to peek out the window and see it cascading from the sky. My family laughed at my squealing and yelling, but it was so fun to grab Silas and run out of doors. Letting the youngest lad get his first feel of the white fluff. Notice the heart shaped snowflake. I told my Southern pals that God sent this snow for me. The friends that lost their electricity were not as impressed as I was. :-)
Ahhh. . .part of my back fence. It looked at home in the snow.
Monday morning found the little guy "checking it out" but not too sure. . .
Mommy gave him a little boost into the snow, and he was fascinated.
Two of my four favorite men!
Neighborhood snowman and happy builders.
It is amazing what a little bit or precipitation can do to your spirits. :-)

You are so descriptive! (Yes, your beautiful photos add to that.) It's as if the trees and snow embrace personalities of their own. God is so good to give us the "desires" of our hearts. The snow was beautiful -- almost as beautiful as the human subjects in the photos. Love you all bunches!

That is funny to me, because I have been cheered here by warmer weather. I love going outside... and, I have needed it! I've even been able to go out without a jacket. You got your desire, and I got mine... cool!
I love trees, too... as long they don't fall over and knock out our electric anymore.
So glad to see you back... you are such a beautiful friend, and I have missed your posts. You inspire me to be a better mama and wife.
May God continue to bless you with happy, healthy, and healing days!
We love you all!

I too love a view - especially with lots of trees. They're gorgeous in all the seasons, and I'm so glad you finally got to really see yours dressed in winter.

Martha!!! Wow, I think of you so many time not knowing how to get a hold of you. Congrats on your third little boy. You'll have to check out my little girl, Kara. She will be 12 months old next month. I can't believe it! Wow, I miss you. I'm keeping in contact with Sarah Cook. She's such an inspiration to me and I see that you are one to her as well. I want to be the best mom and wife that God can make me. Well, I hope to hear from you again. Love you!
