Making dreams come true
What a mean mother I am! :-)
It was a good trade though as we hopped in the van and headed for. . .
and I actually found a place to make those wishes come to pass.
I cannot remember the last time I was so
excited about taking the boys somewhere!
Their reaction was no disappointment as they
fell in love with the place and want to return.
It was a day filled with -
~ train rides,~~drama along the train route,~
~lots of historical pieces,~
~Lone Ranger and Tonto,~
~jail time,~
~picnic,~
~At the end of the day, we had a
very tired (and cinder speckled) traveler.~

Ethan was bursting with anticipation
as he slid into the seat of the Ferris wheel!~
~Lots of slobber from the petting zoo.~~At the end of the day, we had a

As we drove home in the midst of two boys' happy chatter,I couldn't help but think that just as we love our childrenHe also delights in bringing us the desires of our hearts! And that, my friends, is a beautiful thought!

What a neat place! I enjoyed reading about the boys' excitement. What good parents to make their dream come true!
Love the jailbirds picture! :-)

So glad you all found time to build more family memories! I'm sure this was a day the whole family (well, perhaps not the youngest prince) will hold in their hearts for years to come. -- Love you all so much.
Tweetsie!!! We love that place. Have a friend who owns a house in Boone, literally 10 mins from Tweetsie, and he lets us camp out there, so we try and go up a few times a year w/ the family. My bf's family lives just a short ways from there and I have come to love being in the NC mts more than any other place. We've talked about moving up to the Boone/Beach Mt area once we marry. How exciting that y'all got to experience it for yourselves! Tweetsie, not marriage. *grin* Hope y'all can make it back to our great state for more NC fun.
I loved and totally agree with your last comment about God giving us the desires of our hearts. I love seeing my children happy and sometimes over indulge their whims. But oh the thought, that my Heavenly Father loves spoiling me too. And I must say, He does an awesome job at it.
