291 days later,

he's at the top of the charts - for his weight and height anyway. Yesterday, Silas weighed in at a whopping 24 lbs/6 oz (92%tile) and measured 31.25" (98.7%tile). He has been sporting eight teeth for at least a month, and he is doing very well with his developmental skills. Sight/hearing are fine. I think his favorite sight is Mommy, and favorite noise is music. :-) The only area where there is a slight concern is his leg muscles. Silas loves to kick and moves them well, but he refuses to stand. Even when you hold him up, he will pull his legs to a sitting position which looks as if he has an invisible chair. Rather funny! So, as to give him a little boost, he will see a therapist who can target those muscles. We are very pleased that his lung development, our original fear, appears fine!
My happy/clapping, chubby/thighed, huggin'/lovin' boy! (This picture is for you, Susan M. :-)

Silas is one stoic-looking baby-until he decides to smile. Then, he just radiates his love. Stoic or radiating love, he is adorable.
I never thought I would be saying that Troy's twin is adorable! Maybe, I would be saying handsome, but...adorable?
Well, I am! He looks like Troy, and he's absolutely adorable!

Martha... Silas is literally heavier than Chloe. You must have some serious biceps! Been missing you all lately and our Sunday evening fellowships over way too many pieces of homemade bread!

Sherry, you are hilarious! :-)

Sara, I could probably pack a pretty good punch with my left arm now. Ha!

Unbelievable. Isn't it incredible when they blow you away with their progress after such rough beginnings? Been there, done that :) I would venture to say he's too heavy to hold himself up on those little legs! lol!

He is so adorable. I am glad that everything is doing okay. And hoping that the leg issue will straighten itself out.

I'm happy with you, Martha, that your 3rd little prince is definitely on the charming side, as are the other two :-)You've got quite the little troop over there in S.C. So glad Silas is your loveable little man!!

I love babies chubbies too. My oldest daughter weighed in at 27.15(ahem) might as well make that 28.0 lbs. at 1 yr....If'n I remember correctedly :) she was 31.0 in. long.....But that was over ten yrs ago and three more after her. She has out weighed all my kids at their mile stones. We're glad to see her slimming down. At ten, she is now 4' 11" and 98.0 lbs and wears a 6.5-7.0 shoe. It's kind of sad to see your babies out grow you.
