Let the crying commence!

The walls. The lovely walls.
Our swimming trip did not work out today, so I am painting. Somehow that trade does not seem right! And to think that I could have been done with this room. . . Let me reiterate - all tape is not created equal!

That looks like alot of work! Swimming sure does sound like fun... but, it sounds like you are swimming in paint!

Swimming in paint!? That reminds me of a CUTE picture book (pictures only with VERY few words). It's called "Oh Were They Ever Happy" by Peter Spier. His books are so cute.

Thanks for the pics of the walls. I'm sure the room will be nice when you're done.

I taped off an area once to paint a stripe around the top of a room. The tape worked well, but the walls were swirled, so the paint bled in the swirls. We decided that we liked the effect of the fuzzy lines in that case, and left it. But, I can see that you'd want a much different effect in this case.

So sorry.

You know, in some countries, that would be considered artsy. Any chance you live in one of those places? ;p

Here's a small tip. When I get in a painting pinch, I pray, pray, pray! Honestly, it works! :)
I know Tape can be EXTREMELY contrary. Especially when it bleeds or pulls!

From what I could see,I like the striped pattern. The end result will be worth the hard work.

We have a book, I Ain't Gonna Paint No More! My kids love that book!

If you squint it looks perfect. Maybe if you dim the lights no one will notice. That is the very reasonmy wife refuses to let me paint because I would just say..."Looks good to me ...let's call it a day...no one will ever notice."

(My husband says those words as soon as the paint can is opened...) :)

At least the Davis couple can still bring me a chuckle during this trial! :-)
