A Tale of 2007
Once upon a time - a long time ago in 2007, a family lived in a far, far away land. During January of that year, a little boy. . .
turned four years old,
and his older brother celebrated his seventh birthday.
The mother of the family finished the third decade of her life.
In February, there was great happiness when
it finally snowed in that far, far away land

In February, there was great happiness when
it finally snowed in that far, far away land
where snow does not usually fall.
March was painful when the littlest boy broke his arm.
He shocked his poor mother when he removed his own cast!
He then received his second cast.
In April, the littlest boy experienced
his first Spring in the far, far away land,
and it did not treat his allergies kindly!
May surprised the world when the mother posted a riddle
of their exciting news!
In May, they also headed North

In May, they also headed North
to visit family and friends.
June was special - the man and his wife
celebrated nine years of marriage.
In July, the mother, her two sons and two aunts
went on a vacation to Charleston, SC.
August led the family to the mountains of GA.

Did the mother enter the third decade or finish the third decade?
Oops. . .She finished the third decade. She also happened to be on Benadryl when typing this post, and I think she will go correct the mistake. :-) Happy new year.
You said it right. The thirties are really the fourth decade of one's life. Unless of course, they started life at age 10 :) Anyway, loved the story...I am only jealous that I hadn't thought to do it first :) loL!1
Then again, I actually kind of do that in my Christmas letter, so I do it there. It just didn't make it to my blog :)
Martha, love your recap of the year! Very clever. Happy New Year!
Loved seeing all the milestones of last year, they seem to fly by at an alarming rate of speed! The boys look like they love having a little brother, so cute!
Loved that run-down of 2007. :-)
I totally agree with you, Lori, and this year seemed to be one of the fastest in my life!
Great recap! I remember the days of praying for snow. It reminded me of my childhood. I spent the early years in VA. One night, my mom got my brother and me up to go out at play in the snow. It was midnight. All the neighbor kids were out playing. In the morning, the snow was gone!
Love the last picture of your 3 boys!
Martha -- Thank you for the pictoral summary of '07. I especially liked the pic for December! How adorable! Looking forward to spending some time with you all. Love you lots!
