Just for Heather D
With all of her baking adventures,
my friend, Heather,
was the first person that popped into my mind when I saw this recipe! :-)
This was found on the warship we toured.
These were made to give the soldier boys a "taste of home."

This is what the ingredient amounts would look like.

Happy baking, Heather! :-)

I wouldn't be able to do what Heather does, let alone that many choc. chip cookies!

Wow, what a recipe! You have to hand it to the cooks!

Totally hilarious! I need to give the recipe to my mom...even when there are only 10 or 12, she acts as though she's cooking for 100. "Better too much than..." We all know the alternative!

Very cute post Martha, but leave it up to Heather, she will probably try the recipe now.

I like cookies, but I don't think even I could finish THAT many!

Dearest Martha, you can imagine my surprise when I hopped onto your blog, (thinking to myself, "MMMM...I wonder what Martha has been up to?") and saw my name pop up. You are hilarious! I was howling laughing reading that recipe...it's HUGE, and looks yummy...but I don't think I'll try it! Thanks for the thinking of me anyway. =) When I was the baker at GBS, I did make one cake that fed the campmeeting crowd of 500 people! It filled 6 HUGE sheet cake pans, and took 96 eggs! =D But that's the biggest I've ever made. That was GREAT that someone made cookies for the soldiers, that made my heart smile. =)

Take care,
Love, Heather =)
