My "Sister" Conclusion -
I have come to believe that sisters who are unmarried or have no children make the best aunts! Look what my two sisters surprised me with today~
(Squealing!) Brand new jeans were in the box!!!!!!!! They thrilled me with the clothing, but just to be "aunt-like" they included water guns, pencils, cars and stuffed animals! Oh, yes, they even included a few nice things for Troy and me. Happy sigh. . . What a nice treat! :-)

Aren't Aunts just the best? Before Michael and Beth had Isaiah, they spoiled our children to pieces. In fact, my Kimberly was worried that they would not be the same NICE U. Michael and A. Beth after they had Isaiah. =)Obviously they don't buy as many gifts now (WHICH IS JUST FINE)...but they are still as sweet as ever! GLAD FOR YOUR NICE GIFTS...HOW FUN!!!=)

Do they want to adopt another married sister who's a little wacky?

How sweet! My kids are lucky to get a phone call on their birthdays! Not that they need anything, just to be thought of is nice!

I agree with you. My kids and their cousins, all love my one sister who doesn't have any children yet. Aunts are just real fun to have around.

I guess my kids are missing out on a lot because they have NO Aunts except for those who are married into our family who all have kids of their own! They do get spoiled with lots of stuff from garage sales, hand-me-downs, and Grandmas! ;-)

Martha, Martha Going just signed my blog and wants a recipe...but I don't have her e-address to send it to her. DO YOU? If you could comment it on my blog, I'd be grateful! THANKS!

Love, Heather

What a nice gift...jeans! I'm finding out with boys, they ALWAYS are needing jeans. It seems like it never ends! I'm finding out there's two things that can't be handed down....jeans and tennis shoes. All my best laid plans to keep them nice for Caleb get foiled every time! By the end of the season, the knees are so faded, they are Goodwill bound! The shoes don't even fair that well! Maybe it's a conspiracy thing they have going between them.....who knows :)

You are so right, Janette. Your little boys never have gotten a package from their "Aunt Martha" have they?! :-) If my sisters ever have kids, they probably won't get 1/16 of what they have given me! :-)
Funny that you mention the jeans/shoes, Nancy. I totally agree. I think the only jeans Ethan gets from Seth are the "nice" ones that are for walking and sitting only!
