Decor update - the Window
Here it is - the finished product in its rightful corner. (Pardon the glare.) I had planned on putting photos behind the glass, but I want all of them to be black/white. For now, I am enjoying this look. The reactions to the window are interesting. Adults (females) tend to like it. It was another story when my six year old neighbor boy got his first glance at it! :-)
"Why does you have yours window hanging on the wall?"
"Well. . .I thought it looked neat that way."
"I don't." The conversation continued in this direction, and I had to chuckle at his brutal honesty. Do you recall some of your childhood opinions? I certainly do - all too well! Ha.
Well, another birthday party tomorrow (Seth's), so I am off to start preparing.
Have a relaxing Friday evening.

I love it!! I love that idea. I have thought about using old windows for scrapbooking photos on the walls!

It looks pretty awesome empty like that, but the black and white photos should be beautiful in there.

I think it will be great either way. My husband has this thing with not understanding old windows. We had a massive stack of them out of the house we remodeled, and we moved them around about 15 times because I wouldn't let him get rid of them. I even had him stop and pick one out of someone's garbage not too long ago. Of course I've never actually done anything with them (which is probably his gripe), but they'll be there when I'm ready!
Anyway, your house looks awesome! Maybe I'll get mine to that point someday...

I want to buy you a bookcase so you can get that mess off of the floor.

Neat! I like it too! I think it will look really neat with the black and white photos in it.

Very nice. I like that idea.

That sounds like something Brennan would say. In his mind, everything MUST have a function. He's quite free with his opinion around here.

This reminds me of one of my creations! I have picture frames of all different shapes and sizes hanging above my stairs. I think my kids are used to it now but when i first hung them they just could not deal with it and asked several times why i didn't put anything in the frames. I think they will need couseling for this in the future. ha
