I bid you all adieu.
Once upon a time, in a far, far away land, there lived a little boy who loved to play in the sand.
He loved it so much that he would play in it for hours and hours building roads, towns, lakes, and anything his big imagination could muster.
One day that little boy told his Mother that he would love to build a sandcastle by the ocean. He told this to her day after day after day, for he is a very persistent little boy. As all Mothers do, she wanted to make this dream come true, and when the little boy's Father was invited to speak at a Bible college near the ocean, she devised a plan. . .
Right now, the little boy's Mother is busy working (minus a blogging break :-) to pack suitcases to prepare for the long awaited trip to an even farther away land - a land that is on the edge of the little boy's country.
And when next week commences, the Mother hopes that the little boy will be able to fulfill his dream of making a sandcastle by the ocean.
The end.

Fallin' off the wagon!
I will sheepishly type that I have been sleeping a bit longer lately. In a moment of total truth, I must admit that mornings are a lot harder to enjoy when the house is cold, and the world is still dark. :-( It is almost enough to make me want to start drinking coffee! I really need to think of ways to convince myself that this is just as enjoyable as a glorious summer morning! Any ideas?

Why do I do this?!
My house is a wreck at the beginning of the week. It does not seem to matter how spotless it is on Saturday evening; the in and out of Sunday traffic, plopping bags/purses/coolers on the floor when arriving home, and exhausted falling into bed does not leave a pretty sight for Monday morning. I have laundry "coming out my ears," piles of dishes, all sorts of things to put away, bills to pay, phone calls to make, bathroom to clean, a van to empty, meals to prepare, school to plan, paperwork that must be tended to, suitcases to empty (Troy and I got away for a night.), kids that need lovin' (Grandpa and Grandma just left after a week, and one boy is crying.), a Connect Four game to play with a sad boy. . .and I am sitting on the computer reading blogs! :-)
One day I'll get my act together! For now, I will go enjoy more fudge that my Mom made. Oh yeah. . .I will also put the wet clothes in the dryer.
Happy Monday!

Covering my back!
The Basketball Boy has kindly updated his blog for the sake of those who like to know what we're doing. :-) I am pleased to send you his way as he gives a cute look at some of the extras in our lives. He even beat me at posting videos! I think some young cousins might have fun watching them.
Enjoy.

What a sneaky wife I am!
the Surprised
the Surprisers
Surprised, Surprisers, and Sneaky Wife
the totally overloaded with chocolate torte
My sly and sneaky almost criminal ways came in handy as I hosted a birthday dinner for Troy. Several of his BJ friends were able to help with the plans, and we had a grand time surprising him. (He might have removed the Curious George band aid had he known we were having company. :-)
Troy, my wish is that this night will always be a special memory!
