You may be surprised to know;

that laundry is one of my favorite household duties.

I came to this conclusion during my many days of nausea. It also did not take long for me to realize how much I detest dishes - even with a dishwasher handy! Yup. I'd rather do laundry any day. Maybe it is because I have it down to a "science" for this home. Perhaps someday I will share my laundry schedule, but for now. . .I need to head to the laundry room. :-) And, yes, the pretty pink walls do make it a nice place for the job.

So, what are your best and worst household chores?

I am very curious to know!

I don't mind laundry or vacuuming, but I hate dishes and dusting!

By far the task I dislike the MOST is ironing! I don't know why, but I'd rather do dishes and laundry than iron.

I'm afraid my worst is laundry! I'd rather do dishes any day. Maybe we need to move closer together so I can do your dishes and you can do my laundry!

Hmmmm...can I say NONE to favorite housework? loL! Or does baking count as a household chore? I HATE cleaning toilets (one of these days that job will be delegated around my house :) and I probably would choose loading the dishwasher over anything.

I hate it all!!! But the thing I hate the most is dishes and cleaning the shower/tub. It may stem from having back trouble? I wish for a maid most days!

My worst job is clutter! I don't do well with it... It overwhelms my heart and soul and house! I do struggle in the laundry area as well, especially with the itty bitty baby items. I do think washing mashines eat socks! Then, there are the stains... I very much dislike dealing with stains, because they make me want to mourn over some precious item that I may never let my kids wear again, because I am very picky about my kids wearing stains! Does bathing and brushing a three year olds teeth count as a household chore?! Because it is a war almost everyday to do these things, but I WILL NOT allow my kids to remain dirty and stinky... so on goes the grueling daily job!

I'm right with you on the laundry! To me there is really no household chore I enjoy more than laundry(although I hate putting it away!) I love getting all the stains out and smelling it while I'm folding it! But, I'd rather clean 10 toilets than go grocery shopping!!!!!!!!!!!I think it's the whole process---shopping, loading it in the car, unloading it at home, cleaning out fridge so it will fit(and it usually doesn't etc.!)

I really didn't mind laundry until moving because now I have to pay to do it. It's the pits! Those precious quarters just seem to disappear at alarming speed. I think that cleaning the bathroom and dusting would be my least favorite. Actually they don't even make the list.

I think that I HATE vacuming, and dusting the most. I can tolerate cleaning the bathroom. I don't mind dishes and laundry...although it's much more fun to pop it in the washer, smell it's freshness out of the dryer than to fold, and put it all away.

I love dishes(with dishwasher) and hate laundry.

I hate it all. I don't mind laundry so much. Scott has been asking if he needs to hire a maid for our house. It's the line "I know you don't get paid for it here but..." I might clean tomorrow, or Friday or.....

Does "house decorating" count as a chore??? I hate it!!! I still don't have curtains up in some windows as I don't have a clue what to put up!! I have a wonderful friend who puts things up and places furniture when I move -- it literally stays there until I move again -- I just don't have a brain that functions in decorating mode!!! I'd rather just keep what I have uncluttered and dust free and spend my time teaching kids! Those of you with the gift of decorating are soooo blessed!

I dislike dusting and sweeping and mopping my white tile floors gets VERY old, especially when 3 boys run through and "delete" all my work. I don't mind doing laundry (even with no dryer), but I hate grocery shopping - just always have!

Dusting blinds... (the dusting part is a JOKE!) Dusting them gets them no where near clean...(Or perhaps it would if I didn't put it off so much!?) I know it's not a common chore but it is horrible. Whoever invented integral blinds deserves serious credit. As for the best? I really don't "like" any of the chores, but I LOVE the end result! A sparkling home!

I don't mind laundry and vacuuming, but I dislike dishes and dusting. I hate cleaning bathrooms! Even though I do like a clean house, I actually don't like doing any of the "never-ending" jobs and would much rather spend my time doing something fun or that doesn't have to be done again the next day or two!

I have to admit, I'm not domestic at all, so I very MUCH dislike any and all household chores. However, ironing is probably my least favorite.

I hate cleaning the bathrooms, trying to keep toys organized and putting laundry away (my kids get to put their things away!). However, I don't mind dishes and I don't mind washing and folding the laundry.

I'm thankful for my dishwasher, but I REALLY dislike unloading it. I enjoy doing laundry. I love the clean, fresh smell and don't mind the folding. After putting it all away, everything seems more organized.

Wow. I agree w/ Sarah Cook. My house is usually clean but the clutter... *sigh*. It's like a horrible slime that creeps over everything and I honestly don't know how it happens! I've put trash cans everywhere so I can pitch stuff as soon as I get the notion to, I have tons of storage containers, great closet space and yet, toys still multiply in the night and place themselves on all available floor space, old clothes that were bagged and put in closets mysteriously reappear slung over couches and chairs... *wails* It Never Ends!!! I love cleaning kitchen and bathroom and loveLOVElove doing laundry. However, I don't belive I've managed to actually fold and put away a single load since living here so Clay and I live out of laundry baskets. *ashamed* You won't tell anyone, will you? *lol*
