whom I would rather not know exists. The reasons for this are:
1. He makes an unfathomable amount of noise in this neighborhood - enough noise that the houses across the street do not appreciate his presence. I try to respect my neighbors by not doing offensive things or producing obnoxious noises. Not so with the rooster owners, but I will not go into details!
2. As far as I know, it is unlawful for this rooster to be living where it is, and I do believe we should be law-abiding citizens. Were I living in the country, I would have no excuse to complain about the nuisance.
So, never fear, dear readers, I am not trying to eliminate the population of roosters.
I rest my case. :-)

Discussing your love of roosters and how they benefit your culinary habits is hilarious!
Thanks for praying for Aaron. I know you do anyway, but this inparticular. We are on "hospital standby".
Fry him up and enjoy him with potato salad.
i can help. over the july 4 weekend we stayed at a friends house in ky. these friends owned a rooster and several hens. a certain hound dog of mine (sedona) decided these flightless birds would be fun to chase that night....then fun to kill that night....then fun to play tug of war with their non-chicken killing dog using the wings and such. needless to say the next morning the bloodshed and senseless joy killing left most mortified. mainly because the were no body parts left intact enough to even fry. so roosterless, henless and with a newly converted chicken killing dog by their side our friends bid us goodbye and im not holding my breath for a return invitation. so if your interested in renting a barnyard bird predator give me a call...i will let her teach the other dogs in your neighborhood how to remove any future such problems free of charge.
Now that's what I call pest control!
I think you should give this despised rooster a name. Something like Claude (unless your dad's name is Claude.)
I am dying from laughter with the grinch's response. Now Aaron has seen your pictures and is begging for a rooster! I will continue to be a law abiding citizen and not keep a rooster in this neighborhood.
Love the Sedona story! How embarrassing!
Speaking of dogs, maybe the other neighbor's pit bull will get loose again and help himself to the bird! I am actually afraid it will help himself to one of my kids! :-(
Now pit bulls are definitely my fear... I have actually imagined in my mind my horror if the pit bull that lived down the street took off with one of my girls... my children are rather small (okay, Faithy is rather chubby, but still). Glad you're not anti-chicken like my husband... remember he is allergic to the things... I do miss poultry sometimes. That fried chicken and potato salad mentioned earlier sure sounds good.
