It came and went,
and Troy did an awesome job!!! It was a wonderful and enjoyable evening, and since the two youngest boys had a great babysitter (Joy J.) - - I had no worries! That's saying a lot for me because when I have a baby, you almost have to rip it from my arms or out of my sight. I cannot bear to leave them. Here are a few snapshots of the evening.
so I found this on the Internet to give you an idea of the setting.
The organ and piano were beautiful to hear,
and an oboe joined in one of the songs adding a masterful touch.
Troy and his voice teacher - Dr. Parker.
The reception was left in the capable hands of Teresa A.
I had "no worries" in this area either.
After all, this is her specialty!
Love this photo. :-)

Looks like an enjoyable evening. I would like to hear him sometime.
Okay, "Guess Who," if you are the same one that sent two "lovely" postcards and has a favorite singer with the initials A.C., I hope you do not mind my deleting your comment. It contained a word that I really did not want on the blog. :-)
Glad all went well for him. The invitations were lovely as well. Just wondered if BJ takes care of all that or did you have to do it yourself? I'm sure you both will rest a lot easier with that behind you !
Go, Troy!! I'm sure you were immensely proud. Would have loved to have heard him. If his recital here on the Hilltop was any indication, I'm sure it was an amazing evening. Blessings!!
I'm sure it was a beautiful evening and I would have loved to have been there. So glad that God helped. I know that you and Troy are delighted to have it behind y'all! The reception looked nice too!
Love, Heather
Thanks for responding to our blog. It is good to make your virtual aquaintance! I was glad to be able to view your blog as well - you have a beautiful family.
Lord Bless you all, Rowen Albertson

Glad it's over for both you and Troy. I know the feeling of being just as nervous as the performer. :)
What an incredible evening! So glad I could be there to share it with you -- stifling my coughs and all! Enjoyed my visit immensely. Hugs to all of you. :)
It all looks like it was a fabulous evening! So glad you didn't have any worries over the kids or food and could just enjoy the performance :)
I believe all that BJU provides is the date and the chapel. :-) The invitations were done by none other than Kevin Moser himself. The reception was totally up to us, and I was not going to have one until Teresa offered. Along with the church ladies she enlisted, it was a very nice evening. I had to fight sleep a good deal of the time. The program was not the least bit boring, but it was the first time since the birth of Silas that I was sitting in a pew and did not have charge of Silas and/or Ethan.
It is a big relief to have this finished, and now we just need to get through opera!
It was great to see these photos! My cousin, Janan Yount, got married in that chapel, so I have been there. It is beautiful!
Wow! Nothing like it.
Wish I could have heard him....Food looks good, too!
I remember Troy from Gospel Center church and school. Wow, what a long time ago....
I'm glad the event went well, he has an excellent voice! I also heard him sing at IHC a few years ago, he did a FABULOUS job!
TFS!
