Paint color voting time
It's almost November and time to make some choices. I will get you in a patriotic mood with some early voting.
In this process, I have two dilemmas:
1. The colors did not show very well in the picture. (I think maximizing it will help.)
2. There is a good possibility that we will be moving back to Cincinnati in the summer of 2008. With that in mind, I began to mull my choice of wanting brown walls in the living room. Should I go neutral such as #3 or #6 for all the potential buyers who will view the house? My choice is #2 which "in person" looks like a Wendy's frosty. I had thought about striping one wall with #1 and #2 and doing the other walls #2. I had also pondered doing one wall #1 and the others #2. Would that scare people? I mean, afterall, they are already going to panic when they see orange in the bedroom and bath. (Hee. Hee:-)

Here are the voting choices:
1. Do I go neutral for the future owners?
2. Should I stripe one wall for fun?
3. Should I do two colors?
4. Should I just do the frosty color?

Please vote and help me decide. (You do not even have to include your name!) I am so curious to know opinions concerning this matter. I know how I tend to be so "out of the box." In fact, sometimes I think I have obliterated "the box." You have a few days to choose. My sister is flying here on the 7th, and I am planning to paint while she watches the munchkins.
P.S. White walls are not an option. :-)

I choose your second option. I think one striped wall will bring out some "flavor" since both colors are pretty neutral anyway. It looks like we both have the same tastes in decorating so if I were in the market for a house and saw this I would love it!
You should choose the one that you absolutely love...after all...they are all mostly neutral..and a future buyer is going to have their own ideas anyway.
Thanks for stopping in for a visit. Please come back real soon, ya hear??
:o)
I think that you should go with the second option. I would love it!!! :-) Erika D
I also have to go with the striped wall. If I were a potential buyer, paint colors would not affect me. If you're going to have to live it the house another couple of years, paint it how you want! :)
The only white rooms in my house are closets! I love color! I'd probably go with #2 on all the walls:it's a very clean, polished look. But--that move is a long way off--you should do whatever you want. When you're ready to move, you can always ask the realtor's opinion. If they think it's a big deal, you could always repaint later.
you need to go BOLD!!!! Color, Color, Color!!!!! :)
Go neutral.
You should not do neutral since you would not be happy. I like the frosty color myself. I probably would like the striped walls if I saw you do it. I was at a friend's house last pm. and their house is new and they didn't pick the paint. Their colors are more of a brown too. It is the new way to go!
I think any of your colors are fine as long as it doesn't clash with your kitchen, but if you're worried about selling the house, you may want to stick with just one color. On the other hand, do what you'll love for as long as you live there. Afterall, it is just paint!
Painting update - The only reason I am not going bold is because I am not able to bear the thought of painting 394 coats! (Slight exaggeration there:-)
Here is a hint - I just came home from the library with a decorating DVD on painting stripes. Let's see how complicated it is. That will have a huge impact on my choice.
Is it really bad that I'm more excited about your move back to Cincinnati than I am about the paint?!
I like the stripe option, or warm neutral colors!
I'm not just jumping on the bandwagon here, but I love the "frosty" color. Stripes would be cool too! Be sure to post a picture of the final result!
