Gulp, gulp, gulp.
Here I am. . . eating my words . I will officially be labeled "Insane" after your read this, but I will go ahead and bare my soul. (That sounds very dramatic, doesn't it?!)
Before moving to our new house, I told Troy I did not think it was a big deal to have a dishwasher. (Okay. I am ducking as you toss dirty dishes at me!) Seven months later, I am rethinking that statement.
The above picture is showing the lovely state of my kitchen right now. This chaos has followed the trip to Columbia, hectic Saturday with a good deal of it spent in the ER and a miserable Sunday when I was coughing up a storm.
Yes, I have to admit that I am very thankful for a dishwasher!!!!!!!!! The bad thing is that now I never want to live without one. That little appliance has saved me hours of time!
Now, if you will excuse me, I am off to do all the dishes that have to be done by hand. After finishing, I will read your blogs. :-) See you in the comments!

I'm with you - there is NO way I could live without my dishwasher. It saves me so much time, especially with all the baby bottles and pacifiers that need to be washed!
I love my dishwasher. =) This is the first one I've had since we've been married and I am so thankful for it. What used to take forever now only takes a couple of minutes. Hooray!!!
Do you mind if I copy the picture of yours and tape it to the cabinet door in my kitchen? That's the only way I'll ever get one, I suspect...
My kitchen looks worse and I have a dishwasher too. The problem is that it is filled with clean dishes, and needs to be emptied. Sounds easy.
Dishwasher's are an absolute blessing. Philip bought me a portable one when we moved to GBS since there wasn't one already there. I absolutely love it!
You have no idea how it does my heart good to see dirty dishes in your sink!! ;)
When we were buying things before we shipped our container here, I told my husband I thought I could do without a dishwasher, especially since it had to be portable. He told me to be sure, because we weren't shipping another container. I decided to get one and often wonder what in the world I would have done without it. I probably wouldn't be going to language school!
Angie, I am really good at proving points! (Remember how I mentioned I thought of going into the field of law?! :-) Here's a tip: I suggest that you start timing how long your dishwashing sessions take. For an entire month, subtract 10-15 minutes off of each one to count as time it would take to load/unload a dishwasher. When you see how much time you COULD save, you may get a new appliance! :-)
