Here are some snapshots of the kitchen and "great room." I am not fond of the "institutional" color of the walls but have not had the energy, time or patience to start tackling the painting of that area. I was pretty weary of paint after doing the first four rooms by myself. (Most of that due to the fact I had to put three to four coats of paint on some of the walls. Grrr. That's another story!) Enjoy these "before" shots. One more disclaimer - Yes, I do have pictures hanging on one wall because I wanted to see if I liked them in that spot. Oh, yes, they are two sizes of the same painting. You are wondering why? Because I thought it was different, and I like to be different. Do not feel badly. You are not the first person that "wondered." Troy was! :-)

Martha & Troy,
Your Mom Castle gave me the link to your blogsite. I have enjoyed immensely looking at pictures & reading all of your comments. Your "white" home is so beautiful. I love it! Of course, it will have personality when you are finished with all of your color additions; but, still I do love all white insides in a house. You are one working machine, Martha. I admire your creative abilities. Troy, you found you one gorgeous wife, and you both make a beautiful team for Jesus. Keep Him first in life-He makes everything beautiful. It seems like I've had a visit with your little family, due to this site. Thank you for sharing your interesting activities and normal living with us-we loved it!

I'm thinking of flying to help you paint your house next week=:) Maybe orange, pink, and red for the living room?:)
Oh, please do, Esther, because I am planning on painting next week! You will never believe how "tame" the color is. I am actually going neutral in my kitchen! (Are you gasping?!) The only reason is the cabinets are a strange color, so I am stuck. I will be sure to post a picture!
Hey, I love "different"!
